Structural Restoration

  Pennsylvania State Capitol Building
The Pennsylvania State Capitol building with its centerpiece 272-foot dome.

The Pennsylvania State Capitol building was recently restored as an architectural and artistic treasure. In January 2007, Masonry Preservation Services helped with finishing touches, including the removal of electronic crack monitoring gauges at the main dome’s intersecting arches using industrial rope access.

At MPS, our work is our passion. Whether we're working with the White House, the Pennsylvania State Capitol, or a small country church, we live by our motto, "Tradition, Technology & Integrity."

MPS’s work included the removal of wiring and electronic gauges installed above all four intersecting arches. MPS took painstaking care not to damage the arches’ elaborate decorative architectural fabric.
