MPS gears up to restore 1850s-era masonry church turned library
Osterhout Free Library in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania is in need of substantial restoration of its tower and other masonry elements. Masonry Preservation Services will soon begin a preservation package that includes structural repair, brick and terra cotta rebuild, mortar joint repointing, and stained glass window restoration. MPS President Jeff Erdly comments, “It’s not every day we find such a gem in our own backyard. We are very excited about this preservation effort.”
