Leadership Team

Erik Valentino, President

As Co-Owner Erik Valentino is involved in all aspects of MPS operations, including corporate and client development, field studies to evaluate building envelope deficiencies and failures, development of repair recommendations, and implementation and management of remediation efforts. An architectural engineer specializing in building envelopes, Erik contributes a solid background in consulting engineering to MPS, with strong emphasis in repair and restoration of the building envelope and condition assessment of existing facilities.

Scott Siegfried, Vice President

As Co-Owner Scott Siegfried is responsible for forensic assessment of building exteriors, including field evaluation and report development, professional consulting support, development of estimates, and general construction management. Scott’s contributions to MPS include field studies to evaluate building envelope deficiencies and failures, the development of repair recommendations and specifications, and the implementation and management of remediation efforts.

Brent Custer, Operations Manager

Brent Custer is responsible for project estimating, procurement, quality control, overall field project management, and the implementation of corporate safety guidelines. With past leadership roles in schools, military programs, and the building repair industry, Brent is well suited to implement jobs in a safe and efficient way and is particularly effective in dealing with all relevant agencies and consultants. Brent is MPS’s liaison with the Union Masonry Contractors Association of Central Pennsylvania and the International Masonry Institute.

Jim Swisher

Jim Swisher, Superintendent

Jim Swisher manages day-to-day field and warehouse operations, ensuring that MPS craftsmen receive the support, information, and materials needed to properly complete their work. Jim also ensures that MPS foremen understand the requirements of the job they are on, and have the equipment and materials needed to complete the job with the highest quality and most efficient methods possible. Jim is a critical component in pre-planning, organizing, planning, and overseeing projects and confirming project quality control.

Aaron Smith, Project Manager

Aaron Smith is a Project Manager with an educational background in Architectural Engineering. His contributions to MPS include conducting evaluations of building facades and elements, providing repair recommendations, and overseeing general project management. Aaron also assists in technical report and estimate development, as well as general consulting support.

Jeff Erdly, F.ASTM, Co-Founder (Retired)

After more than 38 years at MPS, Jeff Erdly has retired and helped transition the company to a new leadership team beginning on January 1, 2022.

During his tenure with the company, Jeff was a vital part of the ongoing expansion of MPS’s service portfolio as well as our client base. By staying true to superior service made possible by a combination of cutting-edge technology and a commitment to safety and accountability, he helped bring success to more than 1600 restoration projects for colleges and universities, hospitals, commercial buildings, institutions, and industrial facilities.

Jeff Erdly, F.ASTM is a nationally renowned authority on masonry preservation technology. Over the course of his career, he has regularly spoken at industry and professional events on masonry and facade inspection and has written numerous papers and articles for the masonry restoration industry. He is also co-editor of three ASTM Special Technical Publications. Jeff received the E. George Stern Award of Excellence from ASTM International Committee E06 on performance of buildings in 2015 and received the Award of Merit including the title of Fellow from ASTM in 2017.
