MPS Project Manager Erik Valentino recently published an article on the preservation of a 200-foot-tall masonry tower in the Union County Pennsylvania Historical Society periodical “Preserving the Past for the Future.” The article highlights the restoration challenges and accomplishments at the Italian Renaissance-style tower located in the center of the U.S. Penitentiary at Lewisburg.

MPS CEO Jeff Erdly was one of the highest-rated speakers at the Sealant Waterproofing and Restoration Institute’s Fall Technical Meeting in San Diego on October 15, 2007. The presentation was on the history of masonry flashing in buildings.

MPS CEO Jeff Erdly spoke at the ERAPPA 2007 Conference in Ottawa, Canada, on October 1, 2007. The presentation was titled “Masonry Repair and Preservation: Core competencies required, repointing, flashing, history, and importance of roofing interfaces, examples, and case studies.”

MPS led a team that restored the home team concrete stands at Lafayette College’s Fisher Field. The field, which has hosted football games since 1926, received a significant facelift. MPS’s work was part of a larger refurbishment plan that updated the stadium, which was rapidly completed during the break between the 2006 and 2007 seasons.
